About IIT Scholarships

IIT Ropar offers various scholarships to Meritorious Students, Economically Weaker Students, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) students in need. These scholarships waive academic fees, allowing students to avoid financial stress. Find the eligibility criteria for some of the scholarships below:-

Scholarship Name	Eligibility Criteria	Amount of Fee Waived
Merit-cum-Means (MCM)	Only for the top 25% of students with a CGPA above 6.5 and whose family income is below INR 4.5 lakh annually.	Full academic fee waiver, INR 1000 stipend monthly
Institute Free Studentship	Given to 10% of students based on financial need, and whose family income is below Rs. 6 lakh annually.	Full academic fee waiver
SC/ST Category Scholarship	Students belonging to the SC/ST Category	Full academic fee waiver; INR 300/month + hostel room rent waiver + free mess or INR 250 pocket allowance
