CBSE Admit Card 2026 for Class 10 & 12: Live Updates, Release Date, and How to Download

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is gearing up for the Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2026, scheduled to begin on February 17, 2026. Class 10 exams will run until March 11, 2026, while Class 12 exams continue until April 10, 2026 (with some rescheduled papers, e.g., Legal Studies on April 10).

Latest Status & Release Date

  • Admit Cards for Private Candidates: Already released and available for download on the official website cbse.gov.in (activated around January 19–20, 2026). Private students can access them directly using credentials like Application Number/Previous Roll Number/Year.
  • Admit Cards for Regular Students: Not yet released officially. The CBSE is expected to activate the portal and make it available anytime soon (likely in the first week of February 2026, possibly before February 10 based on past trends and recent updates). Schools will download them using login credentials and distribute printed, signed copies (with school stamp and principal's signature) to students.
  • No exact official date has been announced yet—monitor cbse.gov.in for notifications under "Latest @CBSE" or "Admit Card" sections.

How to Download/Check CBSE Admit Card 2026

For Private Candidates (direct download):

  1. Visit the official website: cbse.gov.in.
  2. Look for the link: "Admit Card for Private Candidates Class X/XII - 2026" (or similar under Latest Notifications).
  3. Enter required details: Application Number / Previous Roll Number / Candidate Name / Year.
  4. Submit and download the PDF.
  5. Take a printout and verify details (name, roll number, photo, subjects, exam centre, timings, guidelines).

     

For Regular Students:

  • Schools will handle the download from cbse.gov.in (using school ID/password).
  • Collect your physical hall ticket from your school (signed and stamped).
  • Do not attempt direct download—it's school-only.

Important Details on Admit Card

  • Mandatory: Carry the printed admit card + school ID to+ the exam centre daily. No entry without it.
  • Check For: Name, roll number, photo, signature, subjects, exam centre address, reporting time (usually 9:30 AM), shift timings (most papers 10:30 AM–1:30 PM), and instructions.
  • Discrepancies: Report immediately to school principal (for regular) or regional CBSE office (for private) for corrections.
  • Prohibited Items: No electronic gadgets, calculators, smartwatches, etc., in the hall.
