The NEET UG 2026 exam was originally conducted on 3 May 2026. However, due to serious allegations of paper leak, irregularities, and protests by students across India, the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Supreme Court cancelled the exam.
A Re-NEET (Re-Examination) was announced for all registered candidates.

Major Highlights
- No New Registration Required: All candidates who registered for NEET UG 2026 are automatically eligible for the re-exam.
- Full Fee Refund: NTA is refunding the entire application fee to every candidate. The process is ongoing.
- Fresh Admit Card: A completely new admit card will be issued. Old admit cards (of 3 May) will not be valid.
- Question Paper: A new question paper will be prepared under strict security.
- Result Declaration: Expected in the first week of July 2026 (tentative).
Important Changes from Original Exam
- New exam centres will be allotted (candidates may get a different city).
- Fresh City Intimation Slip and Admit Card will be released.
