Xiamen University does not operate a traditional campus placement system. It emphasises comprehensive clinical training to produce competent medical professionals.

• Clinical Training & Internship: The 6-year program includes a compulsory 1-year (minimum 48–72 weeks) internship in the final year. Students train in multiple Grade-A tertiary-affiliated hospitals (e.g., The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhongshan Hospital, Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital, and others) with thousands of beds and high patient volume. Rotations cover all major specialities with hands-on experience in diagnostics, surgery, patient care, and more.
