Admission to AIIMS Patna is entrance-based. For MBBS, candidates qualify NEET-UG and participate in MCC counselling under the All India Quota. Postgraduate entries use INI-CET, while other courses follow specific institute or national-level tests followed by counselling and document verification.
AIIMS Patna – Eligibility Criteria for all offered Programs
MBBS Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English. Minimum 50% marks (General/EWS), 40% (SC/ST/OBC). Age should be 17 years as on 31 Dec of admission year. Qualify NEET UG.
B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English. Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Age: 17–30 years (female candidates preferred). Qualify AIIMS Nursing Entrance.
B.Sc. Paramedical Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English. Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Qualify AIIMS Paramedical Entrance.
MD/MS Eligibility Criteria: MBBS degree + 1-year compulsory internship. Minimum 55% in MBBS (50% for reserved). Qualify INI-CET.
M.Sc. Nursing Eligibility Criteria: B.Sc. Nursing / relevant degree with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST). Qualify AIIMS M.Sc. Nursing Entrance.
DM / M.Ch Eligibility Criteria: MD/MS in relevant specialty + completion of required training. Qualify INI-SS / INI-CET (as applicable). Age limit is usually 35 years (relaxable).
Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria: Master’s degree (MD/MS/M.Sc.) in relevant subjects with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved). Qualify AIIMS PhD Entrance / interview.
AIIMS Patna MBBS Admission Process
- Qualify NEET UG – Appear and score a good rank (ideally under 5000 for General).
- Register on MCC Website – Register at mcc.nic.in for All India Quota counselling.
- Fill Choices – Select AIIMS Patna as a preferred college and lock choices.
- Seat Allotment – Check allotment results in various rounds (Round 1, 2, Mop-up).
- Report to Institute – If allotted, report to AIIMS with original documents, pay fees, and complete verification.
- Join Programme – Complete medical fitness and admission formalities to start MBBS.
