Autonomous State Medical College Society Admission Process
The admission process for the MBBS program at Autonomous State Medical College (ASMC) Fatehpur is conducted through the national medical admission system based on the NEET-UG examination and centralized counselling.
Entrance Examination
Candidates must qualify for the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Admission is strictly merit-based, and there is no direct or management quota admission.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English from a recognized board.
Minimum marks required: 50% for General category and 40% for reserved categories in PCB subjects.
Applicants must be at least 17 years old by 31 December of the admission year.
Counselling Process
Admission to the MBBS course is done through two counselling systems:
All India Quota (AIQ) – 15% seats are filled through counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
State Quota – 85% seats are filled through Uttar Pradesh NEET-UG counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow.
Choice Filling and Seat Allotment
Qualified candidates must register for counselling online.
Candidates select preferred colleges during choice filling.
Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, reservation category, and seat availability.
Document Verification and Admission Confirmation
Candidates allotted a seat must report to the college with required documents, such as NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th mark sheets, identity proof, category certificate (if applicable), and photographs.
After verification, candidates must pay the admission fee to confirm the seat.
