B.J. Government Medical College (BJGMC), Pune, primarily admits students through national-level entrance exams (NEET series) followed by centralised counselling. Below is the complete admission process updated as of early 2026 for 2026-27 academic year.

MBBS Admission (Main Undergraduate Program)

• Seats: 250 (15% All India Quota + 85% Maharashtra State Quota).

• Course Duration: 4.5 years + 1-year compulsory rotating internship.

Eligibility: 

• Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. 

• Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General/EWS category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC. 

• Minimum age 17 years as on 31 December of the admission year.  

• Must qualify NEET-UG.

Online Admission Process:

Appear and Qualify NEET-UG — Register for NEET-UG.

Counselling Registration:

• All India Quota (15% seats): Register on the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) portal.

• Maharashtra State Quota (85% seats): Register on the Maharashtra State CET Cell / DMER portal. Maharashtra domicile certificate is usually required for state quota preference.

• Choice Filling & Locking: Fill and lock preferences for colleges (including BJGMC as a top choice).

• Seat Allotment: Multiple rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, Stray Vacancy) based on NEET rank, category, and choices.

• Reporting & Document Verification: Report to BJGMC with original documents for verification.
