Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

BITS Pilani offers admissions primarily to its First Degree programmes through multiple pathways, with BITSAT as the main route for most Indian students.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Passed Class 12 (10+2) in 2025 or appearing in 2026 from a recognized board.

• Must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects for B.E. and M.Sc. programmes (PCB for B.Pharm.).

• Minimum 75% aggregate in PCM/PCB.

• At least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology individually.

• English must be one of the subjects in Class 12.

Important notes:

• No age limit.

• Students who passed Class 12 in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.

• Full-set reattempts/improvements in later years are restricted.

• Direct admission for board toppers (state/central boards) if they meet marks criteria, no BITSAT required.

• International students use SAT scores via ISA scheme.

How to Apply

1. Step-by-Step Guide

1. Visit the official portal. 

2. Register for BITSAT-2026: Provide name, DOB, mobile, email, gender, and test city preferences → Get unique Application Number (User ID) and Password.

3. Fill the online application form: Enter personal/academic details, upload scanned passport-size photo and signature.

4. Pay the application fee.

5. Submit and download confirmation.

6. Appear in BITSAT.

7. After results: Fill programme + campus preference form.

8. Wait for merit list/allotment → Pay admission fee to confirm seat.

9. Report for document verification and joining.
