Admission to CMR Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad is based on the NEET-UG examination, which is mandatory for all MBBS aspirants. After qualifying NEET, candidates must participate in the state counselling conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS). 

UG Eligibility Criteria: Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Minimum marks required: 50% (General) and 40% (SC/ST/OBC) in PCB.  Must qualify NEET-UG. Minimum age should be 17 years at the time of admission. Must have valid documents (marksheets, NEET scorecard, ID proof, etc.).

Students complete a 1-year compulsory internship in the attached hospital, where they gain clinical experience and may receive a stipend. After MBBS, most students go for NEET PG, junior doctor jobs, or private practice, so placements are not a major concern.
