CMR Institute of Medical Sciences does not follow traditional campus placement like engineering colleges, as it is a medical institute. Students complete a 1-year compulsory internship in the attached hospital, where they gain clinical experience and may receive a stipend. After MBBS, most students go for NEET PG, junior doctor jobs, or private practice, so placements are not a major concern.

• CMR Institute of Medical Sciences does not have a traditional Placement Cell like engineering colleges, as it is a medical institution.

• All MBBS students are required to complete a compulsory one-year rotational internship at the attached General Hospital.

• The internship provides excellent hands-on clinical training in all major departments.

• Students receive a monthly stipend during internship as per Telangana Government rules (currently INR 25,000 to INR 30,000 per month).

• After internship, most students either Join as Medical Officers in government or private hospitals and Prepare for NEET-PG to pursue MD/MS courses. Start their own clinical practice.

In terms of scholarship and fees, CMR Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad mainly supports students through government quota benefits. For A-category (government quota) students, a large part of the fee is subsidized, and they pay a much lower annual fee, while B and C category (management/NRI) students pay significantly higher fees. Financial support is thus mostly based on category and government policies, rather than separate institutional scholarships. 

Key Scholarships & Financial Aid:

• Telangana Fee Reimbursement Scheme Students admitted under Category A (Government/Convener Quota) from SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, and EWS categories can get full or partial tuition fee reimbursement (up to INR 60,000 per year). This is the most popular and widely available support.

• Post-Matric Scholarships. Eligible reserved category and economically weaker students can apply for monthly maintenance charges and other benefits through the Telangana e-Pass portal.

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarships Limited support is available for meritorious students from low-income families based on academic performance and family income.

• Internship Stipend All MBBS students receive a monthly stipend of approximately INR 20,000 – INR 25,000 during the compulsory one-year rotational internship at the attached teaching hospital (as per Telangana Government norms).

• Central Government Schemes Students can also apply for National Scholarship Portal (NSP) schemes and other central scholarships.
