The DAV College, Jalandhar, has a Training & Placement Cell to arrange career counselling, training sessions and placement-related activities. This cell was established in 2006 under the Deanship of Sh. C.B.Gaur, Associate Professor, PG Department of Commerce. In 2008, Sh. Rajiv Sharma, Associate Professor, PG Department of Commerce, took over the charge of this office and was subsequently succeeded by Sh. V.K Sareen, Associate Professor, PG Department of Commerce and then Dr Nischay Bahl as Dean, Associate Professor in Post Graduate Department of Computer Science. 

The Training and Placement cell provides support for the placement of final-year students of UG and PG Classes. The support services that it offers are in the form of arranging campus interviews, grooming students to face the final test of their knowledge and arranging Guest lectures, workshops, and seminars for career counseling as well as making efforts to provide practical training to the students. The cell is an indispensable pillar of DAV College and plays a vital role in shaping students’ future. The placement cell functions with a vision “To Groom students with competencies & employability skills to become part of Top Notch companies.” It is well regulated & structured with a placement officer, Prof Manav Aggarwal, at the nodal level and his team members.
