Dr. S. & S.S. Ghandhy Government Engineering College Surat Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admission to Government Engineering College (GEC), Surat, is conducted through centralized and merit-based process regulated by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat. 

• College primarily offers undergraduate engineering (B.E./B.Tech) programs, and all admissions are made in accordance with state government and Gujarat Technological University (GTU) guidelines.

Candidates seeking admission must first qualify required entrance examination, which includes GUJCET for Gujarat domicile students and JEE Main for both state and all-India quota candidates. 

• Eligibility generally requires passing Class 12 (10+2) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry or an equivalent vocational subject, from a recognised board.

After obtaining valid entrance exam scores, students must register online on the ACPC portal during the admission window.

• Applicants are required to fill in personal and academic details, upload necessary documents, and indicate their choice of courses and colleges, including GEC Surat. Based on entrance exam merit, category, and seat availability, ACPC releases round-wise merit lists and seat allotment results.

Candidates who are allotted a seat at GEC Surat must then confirm their admission by reporting through the ACPC system and completing document verification and fee payment within the prescribed timeline. 

• Once these formalities are completed, students report to college to finalise enrollment and begin academic session as per GTU academic calendar.
