ESIC Medical College Ludhiana Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

ESIC Medical College, admits students exclusively through the NEET-UG entrance exam, followed by centralized counselling.

Eligibility Criteria

• Passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

• Minimum aggregate marks: 50% for General/EWS, 40% for SC/ST/OBC (as per NEET norms).

• Age: Minimum 17 years as on December 31 of the admission year (no upper age limit per current rules).

• Must qualify NEET-UG with the required percentile/cutoff for the category.

Seat Distribution- 50 Seats

• All India Quota (AIQ): 15% seats 

• State Quota: 85% seats.

• Ward of Insured Person (IP) Quota: Special reserved seats 

Step-by-Step Admission Process

Register for Counselling:

• MCC Counselling (for AIQ 15% seats): Register on mcc.nic.in after NEET results.

• UP State Counselling (for 85% seats): Register on the UP NEET portal. IP quota candidates may need additional registration/verification via ESIC portal

Choice Filling and Locking: Select ESIC Medical College as a preference during choice filling.

Seat Allotment: Multiple rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, Stray Vacancy) based on NEET rank, category, and preferences.

Reporting and Document Verification:

• If allotted, report to the college by the specified date (as per allotment letter).

• Submit originals + photocopies: NEET scorecard/admit card, 10+2 marksheet, category certificate (if applicable), IP proof (for reserved quota), ID proof, photos, etc.

• Pay fees (tuition + deposits) via Demand Draft or as instructed (to "ESI Fund Account No. 1").

• Complete medical fitness check and admission formalities (may take 1+ days; outstation candidates should arrange stay).

Final Admission: After verification and fee payment, join classes (typically August/September start).
