Father Colombo Institute of Medical Sciences has a dedicated Career Guidance & Placement Support Cell that assists students and graduates. However, like most medical colleges, there is no traditional campus placement system.

Placement Outcomes: Most MBBS graduates either pursue PG courses, join government services, or start their own clinics. According to student feedback, around 60-70% of graduates secure good clinical opportunities with packages ranging from INR 2.5 LPA (freshers) to INR 95 LPA (experienced specialists). The attached teaching hospital itself absorbs many graduates as junior doctors or medical officers. 

Internship Programme: FCIMS provides a one-year compulsory rotating internship (CRMI) as an integral part of the MBBS curriculum. All graduates must complete this internship at the attached General Hospital, which has a capacity of 750–1120 beds.
