GNIOT GIMS Admission Process

GIMS Greater Noida offers a two years full-time program with AICTE approved, HLACT Accredited PGDM- Post Graduate Diploma in Management program. GNIOT Institute of Management Studies admission 2026 is based on entrance exam score. The candidate is expected to have a strong and consistent academic background. Performance in 10th grade, 12th grade and every year of graduation are considered in the selection process.

The Admission Process for Greater Noida Institute of Management Studies- GIMS Greater Noida typically involves several steps designed to assess the suitability of candidates for its programs. Eligibility Criteria

 

MBA/PGDM Program

  • Educational Qualification: Eligibility for the PGDM course if he/she has cleared the bachelor degree examination from any recognized Indian university with a minimum of 50% marks (for General category) and a minimum of 45% marks (only for Reserved Category SC/ST) having Indian nationality or as per latest AICTE Guidelines. Students appearing or waiting for final year examinations can apply for the program on the condition of submitting their final mark-sheet by the 30th of October of the year of admission.

Entrance Exam: Valid score in national or state-level management entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, ATMA or CMAT. Some institutes may also conduct their own entrance tests.

Work Experience: Some MBA programs may prefer or require work experience, though this is often more relevant for Executive MBA/PGDM programs.

 

Application Form

  • Online/Offline Application: Application forms can be fill either offline or online on the official website of GIMS Greater Noida. The Application processing fee is INR. 1200/-. This fee can be paid through credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • Documents Required: Typically, the application form will require you to submit documents such as:

          - Academic transcripts and certificates

          - Entrance exam scores (if applicable)

          - Identification proof (Aadhaar card, passport, etc.)

          - Passport-sized photographs

          - Work experience certificates (if applicable)

 

Entrance Test

  • Institute’s Own Test: Some programs may require candidates to take an entrance test conducted by GIMS GIMS Aptitude Test-  GAT. This could include sections on quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and general awareness.
  • National/State-Level Tests: GAT( Conducted by the College), CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, NMAT, ATMA*: Applicants shortlisted are invited for GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT), which is a 45 minutes test on the pattern of CAT exam for Management PG Aspirants. The candidate will be exempted from GAT in case he/she has given any of the listed tests.

 

Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)

  • Group Discussion: The students who have qualifying score of GAT, CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT or NMAT would be invited for Group Discussion on the campus or virtually. The topic of discussion will be provided by a panelist/s. The scoring parameters Upon taking the Group Discussion the students will be provided a chance to appear in a Personal Interview. The GD panel will comprise of minimum two evaluators. The aspirants also have to write and essay of 500 - 700 words on the topic of GD.
  • Personal Interview: All the students appearing in the GD/PI process will also be invited for the personal interview process. The personal interview will be conducted by the interview panel consisting of minimum 2 panelists. The personal interview can be conducted in online or offline mode as per the circumstances.

 

Final Selection

  • Evaluation: The final selection is typically based on a combination of entrance exam scores, performance in the group discussion and personal interview, academic records, and work experience (if applicable).
  • Offer Letter: Selected candidates receive an offer letter or admission letter, which outlines the details of the admission, including fees and other requirements.

 

Admission Confirmation

  • Fee Payment: To confirm admission, candidates must pay the required fees as per the instructions provided in the offer letter.
  • Document Submission: Final admission requires submission of original documents for verification, along with any additional forms or information requested by the institute.

 

Orientation and Commencement

  • Orientation: Newly admitted students often go through an orientation program to get acquainted with the campus, faculty, and course structure.
  • Classes Begin: Following orientation, classes for the new academic session begin as per the academic calendar.
