HBT Medical College being a government institution does not have traditional campus placements like engineering colleges. After completing the 4.5-year MBBS course, every student must undergo a compulsory one-year internship at the attached Dr. R.N. Cooper Hospital. During the internship, students receive a monthly stipend of approximately INR 11,000 to INR 18,000 (varies as per Maharashtra government rules). Most graduates prepare for NEET-PG to secure postgraduate seats. After internship, students may serve under a service bond in government hospitals or join private practice/hospitals. Clinical exposure at Cooper Hospital is considered strong, which helps in building a good career in medicine.
