IIBM Patna Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

PG Programs (MBA/PGDM)

• Eligibility: Bachelor's degree/Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. 
• Minimum aggregate: 50% marks (relaxations possible for reserved categories). Work experience (2+ years preferred in some cases).

UG Programs (BBA and BCA)

• Eligibility: 12th (Intermediate) from a recognised board in any stream.
• Minimum aggregate: 45% marks (relaxations for reserved categories; some sources mention up to 50%).
• For BCA: Preference for candidates with Mathematics in 10+2 in certain cases.

Selection Criteria: Merit-based on 10+2 marks, followed by counsellor interaction/personal discussion (may include basic interview or profile review). No national entrance exam required.

Process Flow: Apply, Merit shortlisting, Counsellor interaction, Document verification, Admission confirmation.

Accepted Exams: CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT

Modes: Online (preferred) via the official website or offline (visit the campus to obtain and submit the form).

Steps Online through the official website of the institute. 

• Step 1. Visit the official website and go to the "Admissions" or "Apply Now" section
• Step 2. Fill out the application form with personal, academic, and contact details.
• Step 3. Upload/submit required documents (scanned for online).
• Step 4. Pay any application fee (if applicable; typically nominal, e.g., around INR 850 in some older references, but confirm current amount).
• Step 5. Submit the form and await shortlisting.
• Step 6. Attend further rounds (GD/PI for PG; counsellor interaction for UG).
• Step 7. If selected, verify documents, pay fees, and confirm admission.

Documents Required

• 10th and 12th mark sheets/certificates.
• Graduation mark sheets/degree certificate (for PG).
• Entrance exam scorecard (for PG).
• 4 passport-size photographs.
• ID proof (Aadhaar).
• Gap certificate (if applicable, especially for gaps of 2+ years post-12th).
• Migration/transfer certificate (originals submitted later).
