Indian Institute of Art and Design New Delhi Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

It is required to fulfill eligibility requirements to get admission in IIAD:

Undergraduate Programs:

• Passed 10+2 (or equivalent) in any stream (Science, Commerce, Humanities/Arts) from a recognized board (CBSE/ISC/State/IB or equivalent Indian/international board).
• Minimum aggregate: 50% marks

Postgraduate Programs

• A bachelor's degree (graduation) in any stream or discipline from a recognized university/institute.
• Minimum aggregate: Typically 50% marks

Selection Criteria: Entrance exam (iDAT/iMAT) + personal interview + portfolio

Steps to Apply:

• Visit the Official Application Portal: Go to official website and click on ‘Apply Now’.
• Register and Create an Account: Fill in basic details (name, email, mobile, etc.) to register and receive login credentials.
• Fill the Application Form: Select the desired program(s) (multiple applications possible), provide personal, academic, and contact information, and upload required documents (e.g., photo, signature, marksheets, ID proof).
• Pay the Application Fee: Submit the non-refundable fee online
• Appear for the Entrance Test: Test is followed by a Studio Simulation round (for design programs) or Personal Interview (for all programs; may include portfolio review for design).
• Shortlisting and Further Rounds: Based on entrance scores, shortlisted candidates attend the personal interview/Studio Simulation (online/offline as per schedule).
• Receive Offer and Confirm Admission: If selected, receive an admission offer via email/portal. Pay the seat acceptance/registration fee, submit remaining documents, and complete enrollment.
