Admission to IIEST Shibpur is primarily entrance-based and follows national-level examination systems for different programmes. For undergraduate courses like B.Tech and B.Arch, candidates must qualify JEE Main and participate in centralized counselling conducted through JoSAA. Selection Criteria:

• B.Tech / B.Arch: Through JEE Main + JoSAA counselling

• M.Tech: Through GATE + CCMT/COAP

• M.Sc: Through IIT JAM

• MBA: CAT score + institute-level selection (GD/PI)

Eligibility Criteria:

For B.Tech

• Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

• Must qualify JEE Main

• Meet minimum marks/percentile as per JoSAA norms

For M.Tech

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant field

• Valid GATE score

For M.Sc

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant science discipline

• Valid JAM score

For MBA

• Graduation in any discipline

• Valid CAT score

Admission Process:

• Candidates must first register and appear for the relevant national-level entrance exam such as JEE Main, GATE, JAM, or CAT depending on the course they are applying for.

• After the results are declared, candidates must secure the required cutoff marks or rank to become eligible for admission to IIEST Shibpur.

• Register for Counselling through the application portal depending on your course.

• Candidates need to select IIEST Shibpur and their preferred courses/branches during counselling or application.

• Based on entrance rank, category, and preferences, seats are allotted in multiple rounds of counselling.

• Once a seat is allotted, candidates must confirm their admission by accepting the seat and paying the required admission/seat acceptance fee within the deadline.

• After successful document verification and fee payment, the admission is confirmed. Candidates then report to the institute (online/offline as instructed) to complete final joining formalities.
