The IIM Ranchi offers MBA programs, which are MBA, MBA-HRM, MBA-BA, and PhD. The Institute is known for offering a five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM). The admission at IIM Ranchi is mainly based on students’ performance in CAT and a Personal Interview.

| MBA | The Student must have a bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks. For SC/ST/PwD students, they must have 45% marks. The Students must qualify in the CAT examination. |
| MBA-HRM | The Student must have a bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks. For SC/ST/PwD students, they must have 45% marks. The Students must qualify in the CAT examination. |
| MBA-BA | The Student must have a bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks. For SC/ST/PwD students, they must have 45% marks. The Students must qualify in the CAT examination. |
| MBA Executive | Students must have a bachelor’s degree with 50% and 3 years of full-time work experience. |
| IPM | Students must have passed the 10th board and 12th board with 60%. SC/ST/PwD students must have passed with 55%. IIM Ranchi accepts IPMAT Scores, which are conducted by IIM Indore. |
Selection process for admission 2026 at IIM Ranchi:-
- The admission at IIM Ranchi is under the Joint Admission Process, which is coordinated by IIM Raipur.
- Students must qualify in the CAT examination as the first step in the admission process.
- After the CAT results are out, students can apply for admission at IIM Ranchi in JAP on the IIM Raipur portal.
- Students will be shortlisted based on their overall performance in the Written Ability Test, Personal Interview, and CAT scores.
- Shortlisted students will appear for the personal interview and written ability test conducted by the IIM Ranchi.
- The final merit list is based on the combined weightage of the CAT Score (65%), Academic record (20%), and WAT & PI (15%).
- For IPM program admission, IPMAT Scores are required, which are conducted by the IIM Indore.
