Indian Institute of Management Nagpur- IIM N Nagpur Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

At IIM Nagpur, admissions are entrance exam-based & the application mode at IIM Nagpur is generally online. Being one of the newly established IIMs, the college is currently being mentored by the IIM Ahmedabad. IIM Nagpur offers an MBA & a PhD course in Management.

The college also offers 4 PG Certificate courses along with the EMBA Hybrid to interested candidates. IIM Nagpur also accepts UGC NET scores, etc., for admission into its courses, which is followed by a PI round. Further, the candidates have to go through GD, WAT, & PI for the final selection.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories can expect interview calls at lower percentiles, approximately from 75 percentile. The process has transitioned from separate to a unified CAP round for interviews, which offers advantages for candidates with diverse academic streams, gender, and work experience.

Step- by - step 

• Appear for CAT: Register for CAT, take the exam, and obtain a valid score.
• Shortlisting (Stage 1): Based on the CAT score and meeting sectional & overall cut-offs, you’ll get shortlisted. For instance, only candidates with positive scores in all sections and meeting the category-wise thresholds are considered.
• Complete the application: Shortlisted candidates are asked (via the CAP portal – Common Application Process of IIMs) to fill the detailed application form, including past academics, work experience, certificates, etc.
• PI & WAT: Selected candidates will go through a Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT).
• Final selection: Final offers are made based on a composite score:
