Indian Institutes of Technology- IIT Gandhinagar Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

• Eligibility for UG Programs requires that you have be 10+2 certificate, and in some courses, you have to do it with mathematics and science, which is compulsory. Candidates who are willing to take admission in the B.Tech programme must score well in the JEE Main. After clearing the entrance exam, candidates also have to appear for the JEE Advanced exam.
• Eligibility for PG Programmes is to get admission in a Postgraduate Program. Candidates have to graduate from any recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks needed for the general categories, and relaxations will be applied for reserved candidates, also Valid GATE score is required to secure a seat in MTech course at IIT Gandhinagar. The total seat intake for MTech course is 320. For PhD programmes, you need a master’s degree of at least 2 years with a minimum of 55% marks with valid scores of GATE exam. 

Steps to apply, 

• Step1. Visit the Admissions then apply page on IIT GN’s official site.
• Step2. Select the programme you wish to apply for (B.Tech / M.Tech / etc).
• Step3.  Fill out the online application form. For many programmes, if applying for more than one discipline, you’ll need a separate application for each.
• Step4. Upload the required documents (marksheets, identity, etc) and pay the application fee (if applicable).
• Step5. After submission, you’ll receive an application number; keep it safe.
• Step6. If shortlisted, participate in any further processes (written test, interview) and then follow through with document verification & fee payment.
