Admission Process for MBBS at Indira Medical College & Hospitals, Thiruvallur

1. Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:

  • Completion of 10+2 / Higher Secondary with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects.

  • Minimum 50% marks in PCB for general category (45% for OBC/BC, 40% for SC/ST).

• Age Limit,

  • Must be 17 years or above as of December 31 of the admission year.

2. Entrance Exam

• NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) is mandatory.

• Admission is strictly based on NEET UG rank/score.

3. Application Procedure

1. Apply Online / Counselling Registration:

   • Candidates must register for state medical counselling (Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling).

2. Document Verification:

   • Required documents include:

     • 10th & 12th Mark sheets & Certificates

     • NEET UG Score Card

     • Transfer Certificate / Migration Certificate

     • Birth Certificate / Age Proof

     • Category Certificate (if applicable)

     • Passport-size Photographs

3. Choice Filling & Seat Allotment:

   • Select Indira Medical College & Hospitals as preferred choice.

   • Seats allotted based on NEET rank and category quota (Government, Management, NRI).

4. Payment of Fees & Admission Confirmation:

   • Pay the requisite tuition fee according to the quota to confirm admission.

   • Submit original documents for verification.

4. Quota Distribution

• Government / State Quota is 85% seats (based on state merit).

• Management Quota is 15% seats.

• NRI Quota: Reserved seats for NRI candidates.
