Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences Bhubaneswar Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

The admission process at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is strictly NEET-based and centralised. Candidates should regularly check the official MCC website and KIMS website for counselling schedules and updates. KIIT/KIMS conducts no separate entrance test. All seats (including Management & NRI quota) are filled only through MCC counselling.

MBBS (Undergraduate) Admission

MBBS Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English.

• Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB for the General category (40% for SC/ST/OBC).

• Completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year.

• Must qualify NEET-UG with the required cutoff percentile.

Admission Process:

1. Appear and qualify in NEET-UG.

2. Register and participate in MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) All India Counselling.

3. Fill preferences for KIMS Bhubaneswar (Deemed University quota).

4. Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, category, and choices filled.

5. Report to the institute with all original documents and pay the fees to confirm admission.

PG (MD/MS) Admission

• Must have completed MBBS + 1-year internship.

• Must qualify NEET-PG.

• Counselling conducted by MCC.

Super Specialty (DM/MCh)

• Requires NEET-SS qualification + relevant PG degree.

• Counselling through MCC.
