Kerala University of Health Sciences Thrissur Scholarships: Eligibility & Scholarship Amount 2026

KUHS offers a range of merit-based, need-based, category-based, and research-oriented scholarships to support students pursuing health sciences programs. These include both university-specific awards and central/state government schemes facilitated through the university. Scholarships aim to promote academic excellence, research, and inclusivity for economically weaker, minority, and reserved-category students. They are awarded on the basis of academic performance, entrance exam scores, research contributions, family income, and category. Key Scholarship Types:

• KUHS Research Appreciation Award (for UG students): Recognizes undergraduate students for outstanding research work or projects; includes cash awards and certificates.

• Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship: Merit-cum-means scholarship for deserving students.

• CH Mohammed Koya Scholarship: Targeted at minority students, especially Muslim community, based on merit and financial need.

• Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students: INR 20,000 per annum for students with above 80% in 10+2.

• Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses: INR 20,000 per annum for students with above 50% marks and family income up to INR 2.5 lakhs.

• Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities / SC/ST/OBC: Financial support for eligible reserved and minority category students with income ceilings.
