Lucknow Institute of Technology Lucknow Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admissions at LIT are based on academic merit and entrance exams such as JEE, UPCET, GATE, and other recognised qualifying tests, followed by counselling as per government and university guidelines. Students must fulfil eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

• For B.Tech: the candidate must have passed (with/without grace) the intermediate examination of the U.P. Board or the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with compulsory subjects (Physics and Mathematics) and one of the optional subjects (Chemistry/Technical Vocational subject) and obtained at least 45% marks.

• For MBA: a candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognised Indian university or its equivalent, recognised by A.I.U., securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

• For M.Tech: B.E./B.Tech (50% or equivalent CGPA) in a related subject.

Steps to Apply:

1. Check Eligibility Criteria. Review the specific requirements for your desired course on the official website.

2. Appear in Relevant Entrance Exam (If Required) Most seats (especially government quota) are filled via entrance scores:

   • B.Tech: JEE Main or CUET UG

   • MBA: CUET-PG, CAT, CMAT, or MAT

   • M.Tech: GATE or CUET-PG

3. Register for Centralised Counselling: Participate in the relevant UP state counselling:

   • B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA: UPTAC - AKTU conducts this.

   • Polytechnic: JEECUP

4. Merit List Preparation / Shortlisting / GD-PI (If Applicable): The institute prepares a merit list based on:

   • Entrance scores + academics (for counselling allottees).

   • Qualifying exam marks + any GD/PI (especially for MBA or direct seats).

5. Document Verification and Reporting: Report to the LIT campus (or online if specified) with originals and photocopies:

   • 10th/12th/Graduation marksheets & certificates

   • Entrance scorecard/admit card (if applicable)

   • Category/income/domicile certificate (if claiming reservation/scholarship)

   • Aadhaar card, photos, character/migration/transfer certificate
