Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai Placement Cell was created in the year 2007 to initiate placement activities and induce the interested companies to conduct the recruitment drive/campus placement. It was established with the vision to bridge the gap between MKU students’ knowledge and the company's needs by inculcating proficient resources and opportunities to help students prosper in their careers.

Objectives of the Placement Cell:

• The Placement Cell works towards achieving 100% placements by inviting top corporate companies for the Campus-Recruitment process.

• It organises various pre-placement training programmes, workshops, seminars, industry expert interactions, conferences, industry collaborations, and online training to develop the students towards industrial needs.

• It arranges industry visits regularly for the students to know the enhancement technology and industrial practices to fit the students for the industry.

Madurai Kamaraj University offers a wide range of scholarships for both regular and distance education students. These include merit-based, government-funded, and need-based schemes. Scholarships are provided through central and state government schemes as well as university-specific awards.

Application Process: Students must apply through the official MKU portal or respective government scholarship portals. Renewal is subject to academic performance and attendance. Most scholarships require an income certificate, a community certificate, and academic records.
