Admission Criteria at Malnad College of Engineering (MCE), Hassan, for undergraduate (B.E / B.Tech) Admission. To get admission at Malnad College of Engineering (MCE), Hassan, candidates must have passed 10+2 / PUC with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and must have Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as one of the optional subjects. Secure a minimum of 45% marks in PCM (40% for reserved categories), and appear for one of the accepted entrance examinations.

Obtain at least 50% marks in the qualifying degree (45% for reserved categories), and qualify in GATE or Karnataka PGCET. Admission is done through centralized counselling conducted by KEA.
MCA Admission, Candidates must have a Bachelorβs degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level, secure at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories), and qualify in Karnataka PGCET. Ph.D / Research Admission, candidates must hold a Masterβs degree in the relevant field, qualify for the research entrance test & interview conducted by the institution.
Steps to apply,
- Step 1: Check Eligibility: Ensure you have passed 10+2 / PUC with Physics & Mathematics, secured minimum required marks (45% general / 40% reserved).
- Step 2: Appear for the Entrance Exam:
Apply and appear for any one of the following exams:
KCET Karnataka state quota, COMEDK UGET β Management quota, JEE Main β Accepted for certain seats. After the results Register on KEA portal (for KCET candidates), register on COMEDK portal (for COMEDK candidates) - Step 4: Choice Filling: Select Malnad College of Engineering (MCE), Hassan and preferred branches during counselling.
- Step 5: Seat Allotment: Seat is allotted based on the Entrance exam rank, Availability of seats, and the Reservation category.
- Step 6: Confirm the Seat: Pay the seat confirmation fee, and download the allotment letter.
