MGM Institute of Biosciences & Technology Aurangabad Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

The institute offers undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes in biotechnology, microbiology, bioinformatics, food technology & processing, food nutrition & dietetics, biomedical engineering, and related bioscience fields. Admissions are primarily based on merit and the university’s own entrance test, MGMU-CET, for UG/PG non-engineering and engineering programmes. Some programmes also accept national-level scores like JEE Main for B.Tech, GATE for M.Tech, or merit in qualifying examinations.

Eligibility Criteria for UG programs:

• Passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics/Biotechnology as key subjects.

• Minimum marks: 45% aggregate.

• For B.Tech programmes: Additional requirement of a valid score in MGMU-CET / JEE Main / MHT-CET / PERA-CET.

Eligibility Criteria for PG programs:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised university.

• Minimum marks: 50% aggregate.

• Valid score in MGMU-CET or GATE.

• Click on ‘Apply Now’ and register with your name, email, mobile number, and create a password.

• Select a program and institute. Enter personal, academic, and contact details accurately. 

• Upload required documents, photo, signature, and category certificate if applicable. 

• Pay required application fee.

• Appear for the entrance test if applicable. The test link will be available on the dashboard.

• Check the merit list on the website. The shortlisted candidate will be called for document verification and counselling. 

• Pay the admission fee to confirm your seat. Download the admission letter.
