The Training and Placement Centre at MLSU also oversees placements for the Faculty of Management Studies. The placement cell was founded to bridge the gap between students and the industry. The Training and Placement Centre serves as a centralised hub for all university departments including FMS. They invite reputed companies for campus recruitment drives and internship opportunities. The cell focuses on management graduates. Top recruiting sectors are IT and Services, Banking and Finance, Insurance, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, Manufacturing and Mining, etc. These sectors align with FMS programs like MBA in Financial Services Management and E-Commerce, emphasising finance, tourism, and business roles. 

Key activities of the placement cell include organising skill-development workshops, guest lectures, seminars, group discussions, mock interviews, and industrial visits to enhance students’ communication, technical, and analytical skills. It also facilitates 3 to 6 month internships for practical exposure and conducts career counselling sessions and job fairs. To participate in recruitment drives or placement processes, students must register with the cell, complete at least 5 semesters and maintain a minimum of 60% aggregate scores overall, and also fulfilling company specific criteria.
