Internship Cell / Compulsory Internship at NIMS Medical College

NIMS Medical College has a well-established Compulsory Rotating Internship program. Every MBBS student must complete a 1-year compulsory internship at the attached NIMS Hospital (1100+ bedded multi-speciality hospital). This internship covers all major departments like Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Community Medicine, Orthopedics, etc. Students get hands-on clinical training under senior doctors. Stipend is provided as per NMC rules during the internship period.

Placement Cell at NIMS Medical College

NIMS University has a Central Training & Placement Cell that handles placements for the entire university. For MBBS graduates, formal campus placements are limited because most doctors prefer PG courses (MD/MS), government jobs, or private practice. The placement cell mainly supports allied health sciences, nursing, pharmacy, and management students. For medical graduates, the cell provides career guidance, resume building, and helps in connecting with hospitals for jobs after internship or PG.
