National Institute of Technology- NIT Admission Process

B.Tech / B.Arch - Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (minimum 75% aggregate or top 20 percentile; 65% for SC/ST/PwD) + valid JEE Main score.
M.Tech - Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (minimum 60%; 55% for SC/ST/PwD) + valid GATE score.
MBA - Bachelor’s degree + valid CAT score.
M.Sc - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject + valid IIT JAM score.
Ph.D. - Master’s degree (minimum 60%) + GATE/NET or institute entrance test + interview.

Selection Criteria: Entrance Exam + Counselling / PI

Accepted Exams: JEE Main (B.Tech/B.Arch), GATE (M.Tech), CAT (MBA), IIT JAM (M.Sc)

How to Apply:

Appear for the relevant national entrance exam.
Register on the respective centralised counselling portal.
Log in to the portal, fillin your preferred programs and select NIT Hamirpur as one of the choices.
Participate in all counselling rounds, including special rounds if seats remain vacant.
Accept the allotted seat and pay the seat acceptance fee online.
After seat allotment, go to the NIT Hamirpur admission portal, log in with the allotted credentials, and complete online registration.
Fill in personal and academic details, upload scanned documents, and pay the admission fee online.
Download the provisional admission letter.
Report to the institute on the scheduled date with original documents for verification, hostel allotment, medical check-up, and final fee payment if required.
