NIT Jamshedpur Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

To get admission in NIT Jamshedpur, it is required to fulfill eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

• B.Tech: Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (minimum 75% aggregate or top 20 percentile in board exam) + valid JEE Main score.
• M.Tech: B.E./B.Tech in a relevant branch + valid GATE score.
• MCA: Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics + valid NIMCET score.
• MBA: Bachelor’s degree + valid CAT/CMAT score.

Selection Criteria: Entrance Exam+Counselling/PI

Accepted Exams: JEE Main (B.Tech/B.Arch), GATE (M.Tech), IIT JAM (M.Sc), CAT/CMAT (MBA)

How to Apply:

• Appear for the relevant national entrance exam.
• Register on the respective centralised counselling portal.
• Log in to the portal, fill in your preferred programs and select NIT Raipur as one of the choices.
• Participate in all counselling rounds, including special rounds if seats remain vacant.
• Accept the allotted seat and pay the seat acceptance fee online.
• After seat allotment, go to the NIT Raipur admission portal, log in with the allotted credentials, and complete online registration.
• Fill in personal and academic details, upload scanned documents, and pay the admission fee online.
• Download the provisional admission letter.
• Report to the institute on the scheduled date with original documents for verification, hostel allotment, medical check-up, and final fee payment if required.
