Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences Admission Process

Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria for all courses offered at Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Hyderabad. As Shadan Institute is a Muslim Minority institution, minority candidates receive preference in certain quota seats during counselling. All admissions are regulated by NMC guidelines and KNRUHS rules. There is no direct or management admission without qualifying the respective NEET exam.

1. MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Biotechnology) and English.

  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB for General/EWS category (40% for SC/ST/BC/OBC categories).

  • Minimum age: 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.

  • Must qualify NEET-UG with the required cutoff percentile.

Admission Procedure:

  • Admission is strictly based on NEET-UG score and rank.

  • Candidates must participate in Telangana state counselling conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS).

  • Seats are divided into:

    • Competent Authority Quota (A-Category / Government Quota)

    • Management Quota (B-Category)

    • NRI Quota

  • Process includes online registration, document verification, web options (choice filling), seat allotment, and reporting to the college with original documents.

2. MD (Doctor of Medicine) / MS (Master of Surgery)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must hold an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized medical college.

  • Completed 1-year compulsory rotating internship.

  • Minimum 50% marks in MBBS (relaxation as per norms).

  • Must qualify NEET-PG and obtain a valid score.

Admission Procedure:

  • Admission is based on NEET-PG score and rank.

  • Counselling is conducted through:

    • All India Quota (50% seats) by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)

    • State Quota (50% seats) by KNRUHS Telangana

  • Includes online registration, document upload/verification, choice filling, seat allotment, and physical reporting to the institute.
