Shree Narayan Medical Institute and Hospital Saharsa Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

SNMIH (Shree Narayan Medical College) Admission Process and Eligibility Criteria. Shree Narayan Medical College admissions are primarily entrance-exam-based. SNMIH no longer conducts its own entrance tests for MBBS or most PG courses (these have been replaced by national exams like NEET UG and NEET PG). Admission is not through any separate SNMIH exam. 

MBBS Admission and Eligibility Criteria at SNMIH

MBBS Eligibility Criteria: Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology, and English as core subjects. Minimum Marks required for General/EWS is 50% aggregate in PCB. SC/ST/OBC is 40% aggregate in PCB, and PwD (General) is 45% aggregate.

Admission Process at SNMIH :

1. Appear and qualify in NEET UG 2026 (conducted by NTA).

2. Register for counselling through Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota / Open seats.

3. SNMIH also participates in Puducherry state quota counselling for domicile candidates.

4. Seat allotment based on NEET rank, choices filled, category, and availability. Multiple rounds (including stray/vacancy rounds) are conducted.

Eligibility for MD/MS Program at SNMIH:

• MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.

• Completed compulsory rotating internship (by the cutoff date specified in the prospectus, usually 31 March/31 Dec of the session year).

• Minimum marks in MBBS: Generally 55% for General (50% for reserved categories) check the exact prospectus.

• Valid registration with NMC/SMC.

Online Admission Process for Postgraduate Program: 

• Qualify NEET PG

• Participate in AIIMS-conducted counselling 

• Institute-specific reporting at SNMIH.
