Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Admission Process
Admission to Sir MVIT is primarily through KCET for government quota seats and COMEDK for private seats. Students with valid scores in these exams can apply during counselling. Management quota seats are also available for direct admission. Candidates must have passed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.
Eligibility Criteria (B.E./B.Tech)
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 (PUC / CBSE / equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biotechnology.
- Minimum marks: 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates of Karnataka).
- English as one of the languages of study is required.
For PG programs (M.Tech / MBA / MCA): Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
Online Admission Process at Sir MVIT
- Appear for Entrance Exam: KCET (for Karnataka quota – 45% seats), COMEDK UGET (for private quota – 30% seats) and Management Quota (~25% seats) – direct admission based on eligibility
- Register for Counselling: KCET Through KEA website and COMEDK Through comedk.org
- Seat Allotment: Based on rank, category, and seat availability.
- Document Verification & Fee Payment: Report to the college, submit original documents, and pay the fees to confirm admission.
