Internship and placement at Sree Gokulam Medical College: Recent data shows median salary for UG (MBBS) graduates who take up jobs is around INR 7 to 7.2 LPA. For PG (MD/MS) courses it is higher, around INR 12 to 12.6 LPA. A good number of students prefer higher studies over immediate jobs. Internship: Every MBBS student must do one year of Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) right after the final year exams. This internship happens entirely at the attached Sree Gokulam Hospital. Students rotate through all major departments like Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Community Medicine and others. The college provides free hostel accommodation during this period.
