SRM University Sonipat Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admissions for 2025-26 are currently open and fully online. The process is merit-based, with emphasis on entrance exam scores. There are two modes: Early Admission Mode (EAM) for provisional entry and scholarship eligibility, and Regular Admission Mode (RAM) on a first-come, first-served basis after results.

Step-by-Step Online Application Process

• Go to the official website. 
• Then click on admission portal: https://admissions.srmuniversity.ac.in
• Register by providing basic details like name, email, mobile number, and preferred course.
• Fill the online application form with personal, academic, and contact information.
• Upload required documents, which includes scanned passport-size photo, signature, marksheets, and certificates.
• Pay the application fee of INR 1,100 to INR 1,200 online via net banking, card, or UPI. 
• Submit the form and note your application/registration number for tracking.
• If required, appear for SRMHCAT/SRMJEEE or submit existing entrance scores.

• Shortlisted candidates attend counselling (online/offline), GD/PI (if applicable), document verification, and pay the admission fee to confirm the seat.

   

Selection Criteria

Selection is transparent with no management quota. It depends on entrance exam performance, academic merit, and sometimes GD/PI.

• B.Tech programs: Primarily based on SRMJEEE, SRMHCAT, JEE Main, or CUET UG scores, followed by counseling/PI. Minimum eligibility required for admission is 10+2 with PCM and 50–60% aggregate.
• BBA, BCA, B.Com: Merit in 10+2 marks, SRMHCAT, or CUET UG, plus possible PI. Minimum: 50% in 10+2.
• Law programs (BA LLB, BBA LLB, LLB): CLAT, LSAT, AILET, or SRMHCAT scores, plus PI. Minimum: 45–50% in 10+2.
• Hotel Management (BHM): NCHMCT JEE or SRMHCAT scores. Minimum: 50% in 10+2.
• MBA: CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, or SRMHCAT scores, followed by GD/PI. Minimum: 50% in graduation.
• M.Tech: GATE or SRMHCAT scores, plus PI. Minimum: 50–55% in B.Tech.
• Ph.D.: SRMHCAT, UGC-NET, GATE, or equivalent (exemption for qualifiers), followed by an interview.
