Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria for MBBS at Tagore Medical College and Hospital. Admission is purely merit-based through NEET-UG score. There is no separate college entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS 

• Age Limit: Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. Age proof (birth certificate or 10th mark sheet) must be submitted.

• Educational Qualification: Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination in one single attempt with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology (or Biology with any other subject) and English.

• General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB).

• SC/ST/OBC Category: Minimum 40% in PCB.

• PwD Category: Minimum 45% in PCB.

• Entrance Exam: Must qualify NEET-UG with the required percentile (as per NMC guidelines).

Online Step-by-Step Process:

1. Appear and qualify in the NEET-UG exam conducted by NTA.

2. Register for Tamil Nadu State NEET-UG Counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu.

3. Fill choices and participate in the counselling rounds (Government Quota, Management Quota, NRI Quota etc.).

4. Seats are allotted based on NEET rank, category, nativity, and choice preference.

5. Report to the college with all original documents for verification and complete the admission formalities (fee payment, document submission).

6. After admission, complete the 4.5 years academic course + 1 year compulsory rotating internship.
