Admission Process & Eligibility Criteria for PGDM at Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), Hyderabad (2026-28 Batch)

The admission procedure is through scorecard results of national exams CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT or ATMA followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The candidates require a minimum of 50% in their graduation degree. The procedure is very simple – one can apply online or offline for the admissions with scholarships offered for meritorious and deserving candidates. Admissions for the class of 2026-28 are now open.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 3 years) from a UGC-recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
• Students appearing for their final year exams in 2026 and expecting to complete all requirements by June/July 2026 can also apply.
• A valid score in any of the national-level entrance tests: CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / ATMA / GMAT.

Admission / Selection Process at VJIM

1. Application — Apply online via the official portal (apply.vjim.edu.in) with a non-refundable application fee (usually INR 1,200). You can also apply offline.
2. Shortlisting — Based on entrance exam scores and academic record. Many applicants are invited for the next round.
3. Group Discussion / Communication Round + Personal Interview (PI) — Shortlisted candidates appear for PI (and sometimes GD/communication assessment).
4. Final Selection — Merit list prepared on a composite score (out of 100) with the following approximate weightage:
   • National Level Test Score: 35%
   • Personal Interview & Communication: 30%
   • Graduation Marks: 15%
   • 10th + 12th Marks: 10% (5% each)
   • Diversity / Others (work experience, sports, gender, academic diversity, etc.): 10%
