Vinod Gupta School of Management- VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

VGSOM offers admission to MBA as its flagship program. For MBA admission, candidates must have valid CAT scores followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The total fee for MBA is INR 10.34 Lakhs. For Ph.D admission, candidates must have a valid score of UGC NET followed by an interview. The total fee for Ph.D is INR 1.02 Lakhs.
It offers admission to the PG and Doctoral programs, including full-time residential programs, online programs, and executive education programs.

How to apply online, 

• Step 1: Register for CAT/GMAT: Register and appear for CAT (for Indian candidates) or GMAT (for international candidates). A valid score in either exam is mandatory for admission consideration.
• Step 2: Visit the Official Website: Go to https://som.iitkgp.ac.in and open the MBA Admission Portal. Click on “Apply Online” to start your application process.
• Step 3: Register Online: Create an account using a valid email ID and mobile number. Login credentials will be sent to your registered email for further access.
• Step 4: Fill the Application Form:  Enter your personal, academic, and work experience details. Upload required documents such as photo, signature, and certificates.
• Step 5: Pay the Application Fee:  Pay the fee online via net banking or debit/credit card. ₹1,600 for General/OBC and ₹800 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
• Step 6: Submit and Print Application; Review all details before final submission. Download and print the confirmation page for future use.
• Step 7: Shortlisting and Selection: Shortlisting is based on CAT/GMAT scores and profile. Final selection includes a Personal Interview and an academic evaluation.
