Xavier Institute of Social Service Ranchi- XISS Ranchi Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

For admission to the PGDM program at Xiss Ranchi, candidates must have a Graduate degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks, and also need to appear for XAT/ CAT/ CMAT, followed by a Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Admission to XISS is based on a holistic composite score and is not based on entrance test cut-offs only. The final merit list is determined by several additional parameters, including one’s performance in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI), past academic record, and other factors.

Steps to apply, 

• Registration: Go to XISS’s official website and navigate to the Admissions / Apply section. Create an account: fill in basic details (name, e-mail, mobile, course preference, etc.).
• Email Verification: After registration, you’ll typically receive a verification link via email. Click to verify your e-mail address.
• Fill Application Form: Log in using the credentials generated. Fill in detailed information: academic history (10th, 12th, graduation), entrance exam score details, work experience (if any), course preferences, etc. Upload required documents (e-photo, signature, academic certificates, category certificate if applicable). Note the format/size guidelines.
• Pay Application Fee: Pay the non-refundable application/registration fee online (for example, registration fee = ₹ 2000 + 18% GST for recent cycles).
• Submit Application & Save Form: Review all filled data carefully before final submission. After submission, download/keep a PDF copy of the completed form for your records.
• Entrance / Shortlisting / Interview: Based on your exam score (CAT/XAT/CMAT), you get shortlisted for the next stages: Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI). The final selection is based on a weightage combination of: academics, entrance score, GD, PI, and extracurricular/diversity. Example: 20% academics, 40% entrance, 10% GD, 25% PI, 5% extracurricular.
• Seat Confirmation: If selected, you’ll receive an admission offer. Then you must pay the admission fee, submit the required documents, and complete formalities to confirm your seat.
