What is MAT?

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). It is designed to facilitate admission into MBA and other management programs across various business schools in India. Recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, MAT has been a trusted admission test since 1988.

Modes of Test (How to Take the Test)

Candidates can take MAT as:

  1. Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT)
  2. Paper Based Test (PBT)
  3. Computer Based Test (CBT)
  4. PBT and IBT (PBT+IBT)
  5. Double IBT (IBT+IBT)
  6. CBT and IBT (CBT+IBT)
  7. PBT and CBT (PBT+CBT)

Note: Candidates opting for an additional mode of test (e.g., IBT+IBT, PBT+CBT, IBT+PBT, IBT+CBT) must pay an extra fee of INR 1500 in addition to INR 2100. Candidates opting for additional tests can select two additional Management Institutes for sending their scores, making it a total of seven Management Institutes.

MAT Result

The MAT score/result of the last five administrations is available online. Candidates must download the scorecard from the AIMA website only, as no separate scorecard will be sent by post or email.
