Is the provisional result the final seat allotment?
No. The provisional result is only indicative. The final allotment (or revised final) is what actually confirms your seat.
I got a seat in Round 2. Do I have to join, or can I wait for Round 3?
If you are happy with the seat, you should join within the reporting dates. If you want to try for a better college, you can choose the free-exit or float option carefully (check the exact rules for Round 2).
What if I don’t report to the college after getting a seat in Round 2?
You may lose the seat and could face restrictions in further rounds depending on the rules of that particular round. Always read the MCC notice carefully.
Can I still participate in Round 3 if I join a seat in Round 2?
In most cases, once you join and freeze a seat, your participation in further rounds is limited. Check the latest MCC guidelines for free exit and upgradation rules.
My name is not in the provisional list. Does that mean I will not get any seat?
Not necessarily. You may still be considered in Round 3 or subsequent rounds if seats remain vacant and you are eligible.
How many new seats were added in Round 2?
