BITS School of Management- BITSoM Admission Process

  • Selection Criteria for the MBA program. It is mandatory for candidates to provide valid CAT/GMAT/GMAT Focus/GRE scores to complete their application. Round 1/Round 2 applicants can submit their application by availing the option of ‘updating test scores later’. However, all such candidates must update their respective scores by 31st March 2026, failing which their application will be disqualified.
  • Educational Qualification- To be eligible to apply to BITSoM, a student must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university before the start date of the desired intake year.  Students completing their undergraduate degree in the summer of 2026 are also eligible to apply. 
  • Entrance Exam Score-  Applicants must have a valid score in CAT / GMAT / GRE.
  • Academic Performance- Consistent academic record in Class 10, 12, and Graduation is preferred.
  • Work Experience (Preferred, Not Mandatory)- BITSoM values quality work experience, but freshers can also apply.
  • Personal Interview- Shortlisted applicants are required to appear for a personal interview.
  • Overall Profile Evaluation- Final selection is based on exam score, academics, work experience, interview performance, and extracurricular achievements.

  • Step 2. Entrance Exam Score Submission-Valid CAT / GMAT / GRE score is required.
  • Step 3. Shortlisting-Profiles are shortlisted based on exam score, academics, and overall profile.
  • Step 4. Personal Interview- Shortlisted candidates appear for a personal interview.
  • Step 5. Final Selection & Offer- Final admission offer is based on overall performance.
