Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology Admission Process

Admissions at CCET are primarily merit-based and follow the guidelines of Anna University and the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college offers B.E., B.Tech., and MBA programs.

Eligibility Criteria for B.E./B.Tech:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent with physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

  • Minimum aggregate: 45% for the general category.

  • Tamil Nadu candidates who studied VIII – XII in Tamil Nadu schools are eligible. A nativity certificate is required for certain cases.

  • Other state candidates who studied in Tamil Nadu or children of central government employees serving in Tamil Nadu for 5+ years are also eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA:

  • A recognised three-year bachelor's degree in any discipline.

  • Minimum aggregate: 50%

Admission Process:

  • Check if you meet the eligibility criteria by completing 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics for a B.E./B.Tech. or a bachelor’s degree for an MBA.

  • Register online at the official TNEA portal for B.E./B.Tech. or the TANCET portal for MBA.

  • Fill out the application form carefully and upload all required documents such as mark sheets and certificates.

  • Pay the application fee and submit the form.

  • For B.E./B.Tech, appear for TNEA counselling rounds based on your +2 mark rank and choose Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology during seat allotment.

  • For the MBA, take the TANCET exam and participate in the counselling process.

  • If you miss counselling seats, apply directly under the management quota by filling the college application form and submitting documents.

  • Pay the admission fee and confirm your seat once allotted.

  • Complete document verification at the college and join the course.
