Delhi Technological University New Delhi Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Admissions at Delhi Technological University (DTU) are highly competitive and mostly entrance-based. The university offers UG, PG, and PhD programs in Engineering, Technology, Management, Design, and Applied Sciences. Admissions for B.Tech are through JEE Main + JAC Delhi counselling. Most other programs use national-level tests like CUET, GATE, CAT, etc.

Eligibility Criteria for UG Programmes

• Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
• Must have studied Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (for B.Tech).
• Valid score in the respective entrance exam (JEE Main / UCEED / CUET-UG).

Eligibility Criteria for PG Programmes

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD).
• Valid score in GATE (for M.Tech), CAT/MAT (for MBA), or CUET-PG (for M.Sc/M.A.).
• For M.Tech (Sponsored/Part-time): Relevant work experience required.

Admission Steps

1. Check Eligibility & Apply - Visit the official DTU website or respective counselling portal (JAC Delhi / DTU Portal).
2. Register & Fill Application - Complete the online application form and pay the application fee.
3. Appear for Entrance Exam - JEE Main / CUET / GATE / CAT / UCEED as applicable.
4. Counselling & Seat Allotment - Register for counselling (JAC Delhi for B.Tech, DTU portal for others) and participate in choice filling & seat allotment.
5. Document Verification - Upload/verify original documents at the counselling centre.
6. Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation - Pay the admission fee to confirm the seat.
7. Report to Campus - Complete physical reporting, hostel allotment (if needed), and orientation.
