Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

To get admission in NITJ, students are required to fulfill eligibility criteria as mentioned by the institute. Requirements are given below:

• B.Tech: Students must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
• M.Tech: Students must hold B.E/B.Tech in a relevant discipline or equivalent
• MBA: Students must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• MSc: Students must hold a BSc degree with relevant major subjects
• PhD: Students must hold a master’s degree in a relevant discipline

Selection Criteria: Entrance exam+Counselling/PI

Accepted Exams: JEE Main (B.Tech), GATE (M.Tech), IIT JAM (M.Sc), CAT/CMAT (MBA)

How to Apply:

• Appear for the relevant national entrance exam.
• Register on the respective centralised counselling portal.
• Log in to the portal, fill in your preferred programs and select NIT Jalandhar as one of the choices.
• Participate in all counselling rounds, including special rounds if seats remain vacant.
• Accept the allotted seat and pay the seat acceptance fee online.
• After seat allotment, go to the NIT Jalandhar admission portal, log in with the allotted credentials, and complete online registration.
• Fill in personal and academic details, upload a scanned document and pay the admission fee online.
• Download the provisional admission letter.
• Report to the institute on the scheduled date with original documents for verification, hostel allotment, medical check-up, and final fee payment if required.
