Admission process at ECET for UG and PG courses is mentioned below, along with their eligibility and selection process. 

Undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech)

Must have passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, minimum marks (as per Anna University/TNEA norms),

• General: 50% in PCM
• Reserved categories: relaxations apply (45–40%)

Entrance / Selection Criteria

B.E./B.Tech Admissions, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process conducted by Anna University/State Government is the primary route,

• Students register online with the TNEA portal after board results.
• TNEA prepares a merit list based on 12th standard marks (no separate entrance exam).

You must choose JCET and preferred branches during TNEA counselling.
 

M.E./M.Tech, MBA, MCA Admissions

• TANCET scores are commonly required for PG admissions (MBA, MCA, M.E./M.Tech).
• After test results, candidates participate in state counselling or university-level selection.

To Apply

Online via the JCET admission portal:

• Visit the Admissions section on the official site and fill out the form.

Provide correct details; incomplete/incorrect forms may be rejected.
 

TNEA/TANCET Registration:

• For B.E./B.Tech, register and submit your details on the TNEA counselling portal.

For PG courses, register on the TANCET/TANCA/Anna University PG counselling portal.
 

Offline options:

• JCET may provide direct enquiry forms or allow submission of physical forms at the admissions office.
   

Seat Confirmation & Fee Payment

• After document verification and merit/seat allotment, you must pay fees to confirm your admission.
• Retain fee receipts and admission acknowledgement slips for future use.
