Jyothy Institute of Technology admissions to B.E, MBA and MTech programmes will be made on the basis of KCET, COMEDK, and Management Quotas. The students should meet the eligibility criteria set by VTU and go through counseling to get admission.
Jyothy Institute of Technology (JIT)- Eligibility Criteria for All Offered Programs
B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering)
- Passed 10+2 (PUC or equivalent) from a recognized board.
- Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects.
- Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics as one of the optional subjects.
- Minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (40% for reserved categories as per government norms).
- Valid KCET or COMEDK UGET score for admission.
M.Tech (Master of Technology)
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree (45% for reserved categories as per norms).
- Valid GATE or Karnataka PGCET score preferred for admission.
MBA (Master of Business Administration)
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
- Admission generally based on Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, CAT, MAT, CMAT, or institute norms.
B.E. Lateral Entry
- Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. degree from a recognized institution.
- Must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Karnataka Government and VTU.
- Admission is granted directly to the second year of the B.E. programme.
Jyothy Institute of Technology (JIT) Admission Process
Step 1: Check Eligibility: Pass 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and meet the required percentage criteria.
Step 2: Qualify Entrance Exam: Appear for KCET or COMEDK UGET. Students can also apply through the Management Quota.
