National Institute of Design Bangalore Admission 2026: Process, Eligibility & Selection Criteria

It is required to fulfill eligibility criteria to get admission in NID Bangalore, which is mentioned below:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised Indian university/institute, or equivalent foreign degree. Candidates must have passed/completed the degree by the specified date

Selection Criteria: NID DAT Prelims + Mains + Interview

Accepted Exams: NID DAT

How to Apply:

• Visit the official NID admissions portal when the application window opens.
• Sign up or register by creating an account using your email ID and mobile number (you will receive an OTP for verification).
• Log in and fill out the online application form. Select the M.Des program, choose up to two disciplines, enter personal details, academic qualifications, and upload required documents. 
• Pay the non-refundable application fee online. 
• Submit the form carefully and download the confirmation page for your records. 
• Prepare for and appear in the NID DAT Prelims
• If you qualify in Prelims, you will be shortlisted for DAT Mains.
• After the Mains results, a common merit list is prepared. Participate in the centralised counselling/allotment process where you indicate campus and discipline preferences. Seats at Bengaluru are allotted based on your rank and choices.
• Accept the allotted seat, pay the seat acceptance fee, and complete document verification and final admission formalities at the Bengaluru campus by the specified deadline.
